From a young age, I was captivated by my mother’s collection of jewelry. Each piece held a special significance and memory. When I received my first paycheck, I was eager to buy my own piece to celebrate. However, I quickly realized that affordable options were hard to come by. This experience sparked my interest in the craftsmanship behind diamond jewelry.
As I delved deeper, I discovered the diamond mining process and its detrimental effects on the environment, as well as the unethical working conditions faced by many miners. It struck me that a stone extracted from the Earth, at such a cost to both the planet and its people, could hardly symbolize “pure love” or radiate positive energy.
This realization led to the creation of Trellis by Elyana, a fine jewelry brand that offers lab-grown diamonds as an ethical and affordable alternative to mined stones. These diamonds are 100% chemically, optically, and physically identical to their natural counterparts, cultivated in a controlled environment that mimics the extreme heat and pressure of the Earth’s mantle. My mission is to provide stunning, high-quality diamonds at accessible prices, all while protecting our beautiful planet.
